Tutorial for Double Pop Out Card

Today I am doing a tutorial for Heather who asked if I would do one for the Double Pop Out card that I made as part of the design team for Crafters Companion using the Popcorn Pals CD-Rom. This card is really easy, but the decorating takes the time. You will need:

Ultimate Pro
7 sheets of A4 card
Backing Paper and Toppers
Popcorn Pals CD-Rom
Glue
Paper Trimmer
Martha Stewart Double Border Punch - Infinite Loops

You can make this card any size but for the above I left the length of the card but cut the width to 6", then
using my Ultimate Pro with the longest sides top and bottom I scored at the A4 gatefold line, then turning my card 180 degrees scored the same line again. You need to do this on all 6 pieces of card.

Now taking two pieces of the scored card stick flaps A & B together.

You need to repeat this until you have 5 pieces of card stuck together in a row.

Now your two remaining pieces need to be stuck to the 3rd and 4th panels from the left. This is quite hard to show so I have done these to panels in a different colour. The easiest way I can explain it is if you start at the first small flap and say that is number one and the other side of that flap is number two, you need to stick your first piece of card onto flap 5 and the second one on flap 8. I really hope that this makes sense but please contact me if it does not make sense to you.

You now need to decorate each panel, then starting with the two middle pieces of card fold them both into the centre and then fold the outer panels towards the centre until it all folds together and looks like a piece of 6 x 6 card. I then add a piece of ribbon to use as a fastening and put my final topper on the front panel. I have tried to include as many photos as possible

Any problems please let me know.

Hangbag card - This one's for Wendy

Today my post is for my blogger friend Wendy,  (check out her blog Purple Crazy ), who was the lovely lady who helped me when I was setting up my blog. She asked me yesterday for some instructions for the stepper card I made and I must be honest when I wrote them down, I got myself in abit of a pickle, so that one is for a later date. So, instead Wendy I hope that you like this one as much. I made this handbag card yesterday, well more of a gift really, whilst playing with a piece of 12 x 12 core'dinations cardstock which of course I bought from Crafters Companion. So as this is not too complicated for me to write the instruction I thought that I would share it with you. This is such an easy card to make but, I must admit the decorating of the card took the most time, but the good thing about that is, that you can decide on how much or little you would like to decorate it, I got abit carried away and did both sides.

To make this I used:

Popcorn Pals CD's one and two from Crafters Companion
Spellbinders dies
Flowers and brads from my stash
Martha Stewart punch for the hearts
4 Joy crafts die for the flowers.
Boxer board and Ultimate Pro from Crafters Companion for your scoring
Plenty of Glue
Piece if Core'dinations 12 x 12 cardstock
Small Velcro fastener

You will need to score your piece of 12 x 12  Core'dinations cardstock every 4" both ways this will give you a set of 9 squares, I have used my Ultimate Pro and Boxer Board for this. The four corner squares need to be scored diagonally across the square from the outer corner to the inner corner. On the two outside middle panels mark the centre point and score to the inner corners of the square. I have taken some photos to show you how I have scored the card which hopefully will make the instruction make more sense. All your score lines need to be folded and scored well with your bone folder and every fold needs to be a valley fold. For the handles I have used a strip of 1" card and secured with a brad and glue and the fastening strap is 0.75" wide again secured with a brad and glue and a Velcro fastener.

I am entering this into the following:

Make it Monday - Favourite Project
Charizma - All About Flowers
Craft Your Passion - Just for You
KB Challenge - Something Cute
Stamp Insanity - Anything Goes
Totally Gorjuss - Summertime

Stepper Card with a Difference

Well I hope that you all managed to get you Popcorn Pals from Crafters Companion yesterday, believe me they are definately worth the wait. Today I thought that I would share with you another card I made using the Popcorn Pals, I was making a normal stepper card when I sudden had a brain storm, and believe me I don't get them very often. I was just messing about with the template that I had cut out from some copier paper to see what different styles I could make and then one suddenly came into my head so I hope that you like it.

Popcorn Pals Sneak Peak

Well tomorrow is the day that you can get your hands on Popcorn Pals and wow you won't be disappointed I think this is one of the best ranges that Crafters Companion have done. This launch is especially for you guys, the Crafter's Companion members - it's not going to be telly just yet as we wanted to keep it special for you! The range consists of a twinset CD-ROM and four stamp sets. The CD-ROM will normally retail for £29.99 and the stamps for £5.99 each...but in typical Crafter's Companion style, they are offering you a fantastic launch special so keep your eyes on their website !!!!

Anyway here is my posting for today, I used both the stamps and the CD's to make this, I wanted to make it a gift as well as a card. I thought that this would be idea for a childs first birthday, as the blocks hold all the letters of the alphabet and also number 0 to 9. I used both my cricut and ecraft to make this, together with spellbinders
