New Launch From Crafters Companion

Morning all on a beautiful sunny day for a change it was absolutely freezing yesterday. Well I am very excited about the new launch from Crafters Companion on Monday the 20th May at 8 o'clock on Create and Craft TV. This is a stunning set of two CD Rom's called The Diary of an Edwardian Lady and Nature Notes and the images have been taken from the book by Edith Holden. For the background of the card I have used the Die Sire Embossing folder Swirl from Crafters Companion which is a lovely 8x8 size just perfect for your cards. The word March has been cut out using my Ecraft machine and the topper is from the CD Rom The Diary of an Edwardian Lady.

Card for a Baby Girl

Hi all well a few days ago I shared with you a cot that I had made for one of my daughters friends who is having a baby, so today I thought I would also share with you the card that I made to go with it. For this I used the amazing SVG file that Nandia Fytraki shared with us in the 2nd edition of the Crafters Companion magazine Crafters Inspiration and as always her SVG files cut amazingly on the Ecraft machine. To make this make the cot I  used backing papers from Beatrix Potter CD Rom Miss Tiggy Winkle and they are adorable.

Crafters Companion Monthy Challenge is Masculine

 

 

 

Morning all well I can't believe that we are in May already but I am loving the lighter mornings and nights it makes you feel so much better. Well as it is May its the start of the Crafters Companion Blog Challenge and this month it is Masculine and another chance to win a £30 voucher so that you can treat yourself, but don't forget you must use Crafters Companion products to enter. So this month I made this large exploding box and put a picture of the fishing shed on the front. I used my lovely Ecraft machine to help me with this project from Crafters Companion. I used the brick papers from the Cute Companions Summer Stories (Outdoor) from Crafters Companion and the stamped image is from their SWALK range of stamps and of course I coloured it in using my Spectrum Noir pens.

Something for a Baby Girl

Wow what a beautiful sunny day it is today and it makes you feel so much better when the sun is shining. Today I would like to share with you something a made for a friend of my daughter Sara who is expecting a baby girl in May. I just loved making this and used backing papers from Beatrix Potter CD Rom Miss Tiggy Winkle and the toppers are from the Two Bad Mice CD Rom both from Crafters Companion. The charms and ribbon I bought at Harrogate craft show in March this year.

Tutorial for Double Tri Fold card using Faerie Poppets

Morning all well its not long now until the launch of the new range from Crafters Companion of Faerie Poppets and Angels Whispers and as promised here is the project for the Double Tri Fold card. I hope that you enjoy making it as much as I did.

 

 

 

Here are the things you will need:

 

 

2  sheets A3 Centura Pearl card stock

2 sheets Centura Pearl A4 cad stock

3/4 sheets of Mirri Card

7 sheets of backing printable paper for backing paper plus

sheets needed for decorating your card

Ultimate Pro and Boxer Board

Craft Knife and ruler

Collall Glue

Scoring Tool

Bone Folder

Trimmer

Double sided tape

ribbon

Faerie Poppets CD Rom

 

Take a piece of your A3 cardstock and cut a piece of card 12 “ x 8”. Using your Ultimate Pro and Boxer Board and with the longest edges of your card top and bottom score a line at 2” and 4” , then turn your card around and do the same again.

 

 

 

 

Now mark 2” in on the first panel and last panel on both edges. Then using your craft knife and ruler and with the shortest edges of your card top and bottom cut between these two lines.

 

 

 

Now using your bone folder score all your score lines and your piece of card should now look like this.

 

Now from your Fairie Poppets CD Rom print off 4 sheets of backing paper and then other 3 sheets of matching backing paper using your printable paper. Now mat and layer your Mirri card and backing papers onto all the panels but leaving the left hand panel on one piece and the right hand panel on the other piece blank.

 

 

 

Now taking your 2 pieces of A4 Centura Peal card cut two pieces 8” x 6” and using your Ultimate Pro and Boxer Board have the shortest edges top and bottom and score end piece at 2”. These will become the front of your card.

 

 

 

Leaving the end 2” panels blank decorate the largest panels.

 

 

To join both of your cards together, butt together the two blank panel and place some double sided tape across the two edges.

 

 

 

Now cut a piece of Mirri card to fit and then add your insert with a verse, the DL insert fits in perfectly.

 

 

 

The panels that you decorated in step 6 can now be attached to the rest of your card. Please glue onto the undecorated panel and place underneath the undecorated panel on your large card . It should now look like this. Repeat the process on the other side.

 

 

 

On the left hand outside panel of your card front place a piece of Double Sided tape in the middle and attach a piece of ribbon. Make sure that the ribbon in long enough to go around the back of the card and tie in a bow.

 

 

 

Now decorate your two front panels. I have used some decoupage and have printed one as normal then gone into my printer setting and printed one as a mirror image this then has the characters facing each other but this is just personal choice.

Stationery Box using the new range from Crafters Companion

Morning all well its Monday morning already. Sorry I did not post yesterday but we had a bit of a hectic day yesterday. Today my sneak peek took me two days to make but I got there in the end I just seemed to make it up as I went along lol xxx. I just love all the different elements on this new CD Rom Faerie Poppets from Crafters Companion and I wanted to use as many as I could. So here are the things I used to make this stationery box.

First Sneak Peek for Faerie Poppets from Crafters Companion

Afternoon all sorry I meant to post this morning but we are in the middle of decorating and time just slipped away. I am soooo excited about this beautiful new range from Crafters Companion there are so many new things on this CD-Rom that my mind is working over time on all the lovely things that can be made. For my sneak peek I used on of the toppers together with some of the borders and embellishments. This new range is to launch on Friday 18th April on Create and Craft so put the date in your diary.

Crafting with friends

Morning all I hope that you are all well. I had a lovely day crafting with my friend Jayne and as she is an expert on Serif she spent all day showing me the wonderful things that it can do. I just love the new Serif programs that Crafters Companion are now bringing us and Jayne and I had a great time playing with the new Frou Frou program. Frou Frou todays the day !!!!

Morning all well today is the day that Crafters Companion launch their new range of Frou Frou and it is the most amazing range of beautiful designs and is on tonight at 9 o'clock tonight on Create and Craft as the Pick of the Week. Today my sneak peek is using the card companion section on the CD rom and I had such trouble trying to decide which image to use so I hope that you like it.

Morning all I am soooo excited its not long now until the launch of the new range from Crafters Companion Frou Frou. Today my sneak peek is a lovely box made using the amazing Centura Pearl cardstock from Crafters Companion, this is the best card every for this kind of project. I used the beautiful backing papers and design accessories and the butterfly and heart embellishments were perfect to decorate the lid of the box.

Morning all well I am sad to say that the snow has arrived today although I must admit that we only have a light covering at the moment. I hope that you have all been enjoying the DT amazing Frou Frou samples from Crafters Companion and I am so excited about the launch on Thursday night at 9pm. Today I am sharing with you one of the beautiful stamps and this one is called "Two of A Kind". Those of you who know me well know that at I am a 3d project kind of girl but I had so much fun colouring these stamps, they are larger than normal and the details are fantastic. Crafters Companion New Serif Frou Frou

Morning all well another cold day here but at least we don't have any snow. Today I am going to show a sneak peek from the new Frou Frou range from Crafters Companion and this time its from the Serif CD Rom. This new range is from a lady called Kathleen Francour  and this range is all about Girly,Glitz and glamour with a 1920's parisienne feel and its gorgeous.

My sneak peek is a party box for a little girls party and was so easy to make and as you can personalize the gifts it is such a lovely way to thank everyone to coming to the party. In the box which is made out of Core'dinations cardstock using my Boxer Board and Ultimate Pro, is a mask with the child's name on and also a name place setting. I have made a small box into which I have placed some pens and a small bag with some sweets in. There is also a small notepad and a party invitation, hope you like it.

Serif and Crafters Companion WOW !!!!

Morning all well I hope that you are all as excited as I am that Crafters Companion have now brought out a Serif CD-Rom featuring one of their brand new ranges Party Paws. I have had Craft Artist Professional for a while now and to be honest never really used it. But when I saw Sara from Crafters Companion on Create and Craft I just had to dig mine out and have a play. I am only a beginner but Wow I had so much fun making this 12 x 12 scrap book page. I used the photograph of my beautiful daughter when she was a bridesmaid for her friend Joy last autumn, together with some free digi kits that I downloaded from Serif.. It was a lovely sunny day and the church was in a small avenue which was lined with lots of lovely mature trees and all the golden leaves where falling to the ground. She looked so beautiful and I was the proudest mum in the world !!!!!

Crafters Companion Blog Challenge

Brand New Year and Brand New Challenge

Happy New Year everyone !!! Well I hope that you all had a lovely Christmas and would like to wish you all a fantastic 2013. Today the brand new Crafters Companion Blog challenge launches and this is such a fun challenge this month  " Anything but a Card" so you can let your imagination go wild and create something that maybe you would not normally have done. It can be a tag,  scrapbook page, bag, box, stationery set I am sure you get the drift. But please remember that you must use Crafters Companion products and the lucky winner will get a £30/$30 voucher for Crafters Companion and I am sure that we could all do with a treat after the busy festive period.

For my project I used the following products from Crafters Companion, some Core'dinations card, Ultimate Pro and Boxer Board and the Beatrix Potter Two Bad Mice CD Rom and a template that I purchased at the Harrogate Craft Show from here .

Just love this box

Today I thought that I would share with you a beautiful box that I made at may last Debbi Moore workshop in Darlington. You can find a template for this but with more drawers here. The papers that I used are some from my stash and other from Debbi's magazine Inspiration Stamping for you issue 5.

Finished Project as promised

Well I am sorry for the delay in posting the finished photoof the project that I posted a couple of weeks ago but I have just been in hospital for a small operation and must admit that I am now starting to feel better. This project started as just an idea in my head and I thought that I would share with you the finished results. I really had fun making this with the help of my ecraft machine from Crafters Companion.
