Butterfly Easel Card using yourt Ecraft Machine

Hi all today I thought that I would share with you a project that I made a few months ago. I made this for my MIL for Mothers Day, but it could be used for many occasions and is so easy to make.

Scrolls Frame Image from Ecraft.
Fundamentals 2
2 x A3 Centura Pearl Pastels (lilac) cardstock from Crafters Companion
1 x A4 Centura Pearl Darks (Purple) cardstock from Crafters Companion
2 sheets of Satin Finish paper from Crafters Companion
Crafters Companion Spring and Summer CD
Crafters Companion Autumn Winter CD
1 x Printable Light card white by Crafters Companion
Ultimate
Crafters Companion Stick and Spray
Glue
Gems
Glitter
Quickie Glue Pen
Bone folder
PLEASE NOTE TO SEE THE SCREEN IMAGES BETTER JUST CLICK ONTO IT TO ENLARGE.

Bring the image onto your mat and separate the two images. Copy and paste the Scroll Frame and put onto a new mat. Going back to the mat with both images on, delete your scroll frame image and working with the base image click onto the Aspect Ratio button and alter the size to 6.00" wide by 6" high. Now with your chosen cardstock cut out three of these.

Working still with the base image again making sure your Aspect Ratio button is on alter the size to 5.75" by 5.75" and cut two of these from your contrasting paper. I used the Crafters Companion Spring and Summer CD Design 4 Colour 4.

Now go back to the mat with the scroll frame image and again ensure that the Aspect Ratio is on alter the size to 5.75" by 5.75". Alter the draw feature to cut, your image should now turn from purple to black. Cut out from your cardstock.
Taking one of your card bases and using the Ultimate Pro score the lines as shown. Now fold your score lines and burnish.
Glue one of your paper bases to one of your unscored card bases
Taking your card base covered with your paper glue the smallest scored section as shown.
Using your Quickie glue pen draw around the edge of your remaining paper base and glitter, glue this to your last card base.
To make your Butterfly embellishment for your card take Fundamentals 2, image 12 and bring it onto your mat. Make sure that the Aspect Ratio is on and alter the size to 3.50" high by 3.62" wide. I used a darker cardstock for this. Cut out
For the top layer again using Fundamentals 2 but this time image 11, resize again to 3.50" high by 3.62" wide. I cut this from printable light card and used the Crafters Companion Autumn Winter CD, design 3 colour 3. Cut this out and using your Quickie Glue pen glitter the top butterfly.
Using your Ultimate Pro score both butterflies as shown and fold to give dimension.

Take your scroll frame and spray on the back with Crafters Companion Stick and Spray and place on your card topper. Decorate with gems.
Glue the spine of your top butterfly and stick to the butterfly base, add gems. Using the same two butterfly images and using the same card and patterned card cut out two more butterflies at the size of 1.93" wide by 2.00" high, glitter and add gems, then layer together.
Attach the largest butterfly to the centre of your topper and the smallest butterfly to the bottom of your easel card to create the stopper.
Thank you for popping over to my blog, hope you enjoy making this as much as I did

Tutorial Double Tri Fold Card

As promised here is a quick tutorial for the Double Tri Fold card that I made as a sneak peak from the new
launch of the Beatrix Potter from Crafters Companion. I have used a brightly coloured card for this as I thought it would be easier for you to see it.

To make the card you will need:

Ultimate Pro and Boxer Board from Crafters Companion and a scoring tool
2 x A3 card stock, but this card could be made in any size.
Backing papers
2 x A4 card stock
Glue
Trimmer

Tape

1. Take a piece of A3 card stock the Centura Pearl from Crafters Companion is idea for this project. Trim your 2 pieces of A3 card to measure 8.25 " by 12", I have made this 8.25" inches as I want to use an 8" insert in the centre. Then using the box base side of your boxer board and the longest sides of your card stock top and bottom, score at 4" interviews and fold and burnish with your scoring tool.

2. Now lay your first piece of card out flat and on the first panel measure from the bottom up 3 . 5" and draw a faint line in pencil up to the top of the third panel. You can take the first panel any size depending of the size of the topper you want to use. Trim this off as shown.

3. Now with your 2nd piece of card again lay flat and on the far right hand panel again measure up 3 . 50" and draw another faint line up to the top of the third panel and again trim off.

4. Now lay both your pieces together with the large panels butted up to each other. I held these in place just using some tape.

5. To join your to pieces of card together from your A4 card cut to two pieces measuring 8.25" x 8 3/16th and glue one to the front and one to the back this will then hide the joins.

6. Then fold each side of your card in as shown.

For your mat and layers I found the easiest way was to place your card or paper behind the panel that you wanted to decorate and faintly draw around it, then when you cut this out cut just inside the pencil line, you may find though that you still need to trim this slightly.

Thanks for looking and Happy Crafting

Paintbox Poppets Frame Book Tutorial

I am sure by now that you have all seen the amazing new launch from Crafters Companion called Paintbox Poppets. This is the best CD,stamps and decoupage I have ever had the pleasure to play with and I hope that you managed to get yours. I had so much fun playing with these and so today I thought that I would share with you my Frame Card Book. I was blown away when the artist of Paintbox Poppets Christine Haworth asked Sara from Crafters Companion if she would send her this card I made after the shows on Create and Craft were finished, I thought that Sara was joking st first. So here is the tutorial which is on the Crafters Companion website just click here . The picture below is a longer version of this card but it is very easily adapted from the attached tutorial.
