Another Beatrix Potter

Well this is my last one (at the moment) using the lovely Beatrix Potter free papers from Crafters Companion, I just love them. This is not actually a card but more of a Christmas decoration. I used the paper from BP and cut it into squares using my spell binders and then used them with tea bag folding.

Beatrix Potter

Well another wet and windy day in the North East, so what better way to spend the day than crafting. I just love this free download from Crafters Companion so thought that I would make another card. This one is just a straight forward card. I have used a sizzix embossing folder for the blue background and my spellbinders for the flowers and the centre design. I have cut the centre out of the framed design of Peter Rabbit, he is just so cute.

Peter Rabbit

Sorry it has been a few days since I did a post but have just come back from a few days in Scotland. This is the first time I have been anywhere in Scotland other than the big cities and found it a really beautiful place. Well what a great surprise when I got back to find that Crafters Companion have another challenge on their blog. Also their new range of Peter Rabbit 'A Winters Tale' is just lovely, just what a needed to get me started on my christmas cards. For this card I just used plain navy card stock and the elements from the free downloads that can be found on the Crafters Companion web site.

Thought this might be good for Halloween

Hi

Thought I would try and post this as it would be great for either Halloween cards or just for making Halloween decorations, they would look great hanging down on a piece of thread, as it can be made in any size. I first saw this at the Harrowgate Craft Show on the Standing Up stand. I used a small piece of black card and used the Spellbinders Nestibilities Large classic die the third smallest one. But as I said you can start with any size square.

I then folded this in half :

I then made two small slits about 2 thirds down on each side parallel to the scalloped sides.

Fold the two top corners back to form the shape below :

Draw two eyes and a mouth in the centre panel :

Sorry that the photos are a bit blurred, but hope you like it.

Little Princess

Well this is a card I have made for my favourite craft blogs, Crafters Companion, Ginger Snap Creations and My Time to Craft.I just adore the stamps from this new range S.W.A.L.K, there are so many things you can use them for. For this card I used a sizzix embossing folder for the pattern on the white card and added small gold gems. I used a Martha Stewart punch for the border and my Cricut to make the frame. I colour the S.W.A.L.K image with Papermania Whisper pens. Hope you like it ???

Fun with Folds

Well another wet and windy day, but at least it is dry and warm in my craft room. So today I have sat and made this card using images from Crafters Companion Peter Rabbit CD and the border has been punched using a Martha Stewart punch. This fold was given to me by one of my friends at the Debbi Moore craft day that I go to every month, if you would like to know how to do it please e mail me and I will send you the instructions.

Wet Monday

Welcome to a very wet Monday, it is really dark and miserable today so have decided to cheer myself up by entering the Papertake Weekly challenge. I have created this card using some pink card that was in one of my Hunky Dory kits together with a spellbinder die and Martha Stewart punch. I have tried several photos but unfortunately the mirror card keeps reflecting back, so hope this one is OK. I love card making so please check out my other cards on my blog.

Project Tuesday

I had a good day yesterday and made this card also, so thought I would enter into another challenge, getting quite hooked on this, but must stop at some stage and do some housework - well maybe. I really enjoyed making this card it was something different from anything I had made before, it took a few goes to get the panel inside to sit right, but think it was worth it in the end, hope you agree. I used 12 x 12paper from
Debbi Moore Designs and two peel offs for the centre inside. I just added to small ribbons to the front panel as I wanted to keep it quite plain.

Hi  - Today I am entering the Spoon Full of Sugar blog challenge, I really didn't realise how many blog challenges where out there, I think I could spend the next twelve months going through them all, but at least it gives me a reason to make more cards. This one has been made from House Mouse which I just adore and if you look on the Joanna Sheen website you can view the whole range. Wish me luck
